Recent Events - Pre-School 40th Anniversary and Outdoor Area Opening

April 2008: The Tilehouse Street Pre-School celebrated its 40th anniversary with a gathering for all who had been involved over the years up to the present. The occasion was also used to perform an official opening of the new outdoor play area by the MP for Hitchin, Rt Hon Peter Lilley.

the hall full of people

The doors opened at 10 o'clock and within minutes the hall was full of people.

There were lots of sideshow stalls to amuse and raise more funds for the eventual roofing of the outdoor area. Here is Stephen, Chairman of the pre-school committee with an enormous version of the pre-school house. The challenge was to stick the handle on the door whilst blindfold.
